Code of Conduct

for the use of online discussion forums

Forums on this site related to the PhD research project, "How marketisation impacts local deaf charities" have been created for professional debate and discussion. This is a space to share thoughts, to pose questions and to help inform the study.

To ensure that the research project forums are a positive online environment, please adhere to this code of conduct for the benefit of all users:

Do not post unauthorised personal information (names, address, phone number, email etc).

Make sure you respect the confidentiality of others and do not disclose any non-public information or personal information without consent.

You are responsible for the content you post

This includes information, text, videos, photos, messages etc. If you didn’t create the content that you post, it is your responsibility to ensure you have the necessary consents.

Respect other users

However, it is expected that you communicate your comments in a respectful way. Any abusive, offensive or inflammatory posts or any comments which personally attack any individual will not be tolerated and will be removed.

Act in good faith when taking part in surveys and discussions

Your comments and answers to questions should be true to the best of your knowledge and belief and genuine e.g. your answers should be your own opinion (and not others) and you should take care not to speed through a Survey or answer each question the same way.

Do not impersonate any individual or entity

This includes, without limitation, the Research Student or an employee of the University of Gloucestershire, or other Site members or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, including by "framing" any portion of this Site to make it look like you have a relationship with the Research Student or that I or the University of Gloucestershire have endorsed you for any purpose.
